Accepting New Patients

Dr. Vidur Solanki is a board-certified psychiatrist who joined Kansas City Psychiatric Group in 2025. He provides evidence-based psychiatric care to adults ages 18 and older and approaches treatment with the understanding that mental health is influenced by more than a diagnosis alone.
Dr. Solanki considers each patient’s symptoms, personal history, physical health, life experiences, relationships and individual goals when developing a treatment plan. He takes a thoughtful, whole-person approach to psychiatric care and recognizes that treatment is not one-size-fits-all. He works with patients to identify the factors contributing to their symptoms and develop practical, individualized strategies that support meaningful improvement. He values careful, evidence-based prescribing and regularly evaluates the ongoing benefits, risks and necessity of each medication. When clinically appropriate, he is open to simplifying medication regimens and reducing unnecessary medication burden while maintaining symptom stability and supporting overall functioning.
Dr. Solanki treats adults with a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar spectrum disorders, trauma- and stressor-related disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and schizophrenia spectrum and other psychotic disorders. He is committed to helping patients better understand their symptoms and treatment options while supporting progress toward improved mental health and quality of life.
Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Dr. Solanki earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. He completed a master’s degree in biomedical sciences at Midwestern University near Chicago before earning his medical degree from Kansas City University. He completed his psychiatry residency training at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
What matters most to Dr. Solanki
